Reflexology

At PMPP we have a qualified physiotherapist who is able to assist patients through their cancer treatment and rehabilitation journey.

At PMPP our remedial therapist Cassie Haslam is also trained in Reflexology. Reflexology is the application of pressure on reflexes in the feet, hands and ears, which correspond to every part, gland and organ of the body.

Reflexology is a “reflex” therapy that works with points on one part of the body to affect other parts of the body. Reflexology uses reflexes that are in an orderly arrangement resembling a shape of the human body on the feet, hands, and outer ears, using unique micro-movement techniques such as thumb or finger walking, and hook to create a response throughout the body. Reflexology is thought to relieve of tension, improve circulation and promote the natural function of the body.

Reflexology is not used to diagnose or cure health disorders but may complement other treatments when addressing conditions such as:

  • anxiety
  • asthma
  • cancer treatment
  • cardiovascular issues
  • diabetes
  • headaches
  • kidney function
  • PMS
  • digestive disturbances
  • sinusitis.

Pregnancy Reflexology

Reflexology may assist in inducing labour at the end stages of pregnancy. We always recommend that you consult your obstetrician before seeing Cassie for reflexology during pregnancy.
