LAURA ROONEY

Originally from Liverpool (UK), Laura graduated with a First Class Bachelors of Science Honors in Physiotherapy. Her professional journey started in a busy NHS Trust and private Physiotherapy clinic alongside volunteering with youth groups such as Cerebral Palsy Football Club. She gained valuable experience in working with acute and chronic upper limb, lower limb and spinal musculoskeletal injuries and post-operative rehabilitation including arthoplasties and soft tissue surgeries, in a diverse client population. Laura also managed respiratory conditions on intensive care, post operatively and on medical wards.

Laura has a particular interest in pain management, sports injuries and post operative rehabilitation. She has attended post graduate courses including Acupuncture and Dry Needling, Learning Disabilities and Motivational Interviewing. Laura is passionate about client empowerment to optimise function and quality of life in a holistic, collaborative approach. She values exercise and wellbeing which reflects into her Physiotherapy practice.

Outside of work, Laura loves being active including strength training in the gym and HIIT classes, walks and pilates. She is always up for a challenge, enjoys exploring new places and trying out new restaurants with loved ones.
