We are so lucky to have an amazing group of therapists and admin staff at PMPP. It is always sad to say goodbye when one of our team moves on. We often have clients ask after our previous staff members so I’ve tracked down a few to find out what they have been up to since working at PMPP.
Let’s hear from 6 previous PMPP Physio’s:
Emily Centra
Tara Boylan
When Tara left PMPP she moved overseas for a few years, living in Canada and Japan before returning home and settling in Ocean Grove. She got engaged, bought a house and now has a beautiful 2 year old daughter Sadie.
Currently Tara is completing her Masters of Pelvic Health, so loves treating all things pelvic health as well as an ongoing passion for Clinical Pilates. Her spark for women’s health started working at PMPP, with all the lovely pre- and post-natal women she got to treat, especially the mums and bubs classes!
Tara says she misses the atmosphere of a full pilates gym and the epic sunrise and sunset views from some of our reformers! If anyone is on holiday around Ocean Grove and needs a treatment, drop her a line!
Anne Keng
Anne left PMPP to move to London with the sole purpose of gallivanting around Europe. She was only supposed to be there temporarily for two years.
Now, five years later, she’s still there! She is still working as a physio but has moved into more of a clinical manager and business development role. Anne has retained some clinical hours for patients, but has now specialised in acute knee injuries & ACL rehab.
According to Anne, PMPP will always be the pivotal starting point of her career in physio and serves as a constant reminder of the type of culture that she strives to be a part of. She misses the amazing team, clients, and community here! The people at PMPP will always have a special place in her heart.
Leah Christoforou
Leah is not currently working as a physiotherapist in Germany. She worked as a cocktail bartender for a period. This year she’s been working as a freelance Pilates teacher across a few different studios in Berlin and is loving it! She teaches a mixture of matwork and reformer and tries to implement her clinical knowledge where possible. She’s also about to start teaching specific prenatal reformer classes, as she loves working with this demographic.
Carrie Quinn
Since leaving PMPP Carrie and her partner Eoghan moved to Perth, then eventually relocated back home to the UK to be closer to their families. They have now been living in sunny Edinburgh, Scotland for the last 5 years. Carrie is still working in musculoskeletal Physio and now also works in Women’s Pelvic Health. She opened a Physio & Pilates Clinic in Edinburgh 1 year ago!
Carrie and Eoghan have a gorgeous little boy called Harris who has just turned 4. Carrie says she misses everything about PMPP, the supportive staff environment, the wonderful clients, the community feel and most wonderful team of girls to work with. She thinks of PMPP as the inspiration for her clinic in Edinburgh :).
Not to mention, the view from the window, the PMPP team runs at Albert park, coffees in the sun, the puppies and babies that visit the clinic and the special family feel the clinic has. Ok she’s off to book some flights back now!
Sinead O’Connell
After Sinead left PMPP she spent a month travelling around Australia before spending a month in Ireland. She then made the move to London. Sinead worked as a pelvic health physio, taught reformer pilates and completed her masters in pelvic health over four years. She then returned to Ireland in 2017.
Since then Sinead has run her first marathon, bought a house, got married and now has two lovely babies! A busy time! Liadh (pronounced Leah) is 3 years old and Tom is 1 year old.
Sinead still works as a physio. She specialises in pelvic health and treats a variety of men, women and children with bowel and/or bladder dysfunction, pain etc. She works in a mix of public and private settings and loves it! Sinead also does some teaching to physiotherapists looking to specialise in this area of practice. She particularly enjoys this part of her work.
Sinead looks back fondly on her time at PMPP saying it was such a lovely place to work, with a great community spirit amongst both the staff and the clients. She enjoyed her time here immensely. The location was also a bonus…. She’s no longer working right alongside a beach and that’s certainly something she misses!
Thank you to all these amazing women who have shared their journeys with us. We miss them but love hearing the different paths that life has taken them down. To different parts of Victoria and all corners of the globe!
